Hi! I’m Catherine, and welcome to The Ecolytical.
The Ecolytical aims to be a space for all curious souls, with any glimmer of humanity, to ask questions and discuss the predominant global crisis: climate change. The current global situation is easy to be overwhelmed by. There is so much information out there that it’s difficult to know where to start. However, here at The Ecolytical I want to help you make changes, even in small and individual ways, that will contribute to a more eco-friendly lifestyle. We also want to analyse environmental news and media, hence the name ‘Ecolytical’: eco+analytical. I want everyone to be better educated on the subject that determines humanity’s future (I know, yikes). Just because we aren’t major world leaders doesn’t mean that we’re hopeless. Education, campaigns, letters, they all add up. This community I have cultivated online with not shame you for ‘imperfection’. In fact, we embrace it. Making change and making mistakes is better than not trying at all.
Embark on this journey with me, to a more eco-conscious and sustainable life. The ups and downs and in-betweens will all be here. Plus advice on how we can all be better global citizens and reverse damage done to out beautiful mother Earth.
I hope you stick around, virtual tea and biscuits are promised 😉

Hi. Cath-erin. 🙂 ‘Found you commenting on another Brit’s blog and decided to take a peak. I have only scratched the surface; but I am a sucker for bookworms (as my Chat Café space will show) and mildly intrigued. I am a terrible reader, myself…more of a creator/artist, currently writing and developing some of my own would-be books.
So, why the name divide? And, what…who…why? is Kitty Jade? I would guess a combination of a cat lover and a precious stone you favor. But, I am curious about the origin story. Could Kitty Jade be your Jane Eyre? 😛 Or, your Tom Sawyer?

Hello. Reading would definitely help you with your writings, if you could find time! Kitty Jade is a name I’ve loved since I was very young. I would hate to use my name as a title for this blog: so I guess that what you’re saying is right – it’s my alter-ego. Kitty Jade is the person I am when I’m writing and it suddenly makes me feel more confident 🙃 Thank you for your interesting questions and I hope to see you on my blog again!

I find reading helps a little, but, it’s hard for me to take time to read when I want and need to get so much else done. As a very creative person starved for activity, making time for reading is like leaving a car parked in the garage. If I’m not writing/creating, reading instead, I am losing creation time. But, I have been doing more reading in recent years, for calming purposes, mostly.

I can remember the old Bill And Ben. They used to have a TV show – if I am mistaken?

Hi, Kitty Jade! Hope you’ve been doing well lately. I was just noticing that whenever you post the ‘Like’ button and the ‘Comment’ button are always disabled so nobody can like or comment on your posts. I was just wondering if you knew that because it seems like in some of your posts you’ll ask people questions or say ‘Let me know in the comments.’ Anyway, just wanted to let you know in case you didn’t! 🙂
Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Yes – it’s a pending issue. Thank you for letting me know. Not sure how to fix it, since comments and likes are switched on in settings. Hope you’re well, Esther! Take care 🙃
