Our Mission Statement (And Hello I’m Back!)

Hey everyone, so nice to be here blogging again 🙂

How have you all been getting on? I’m sorry for my absence over the last 6 months or so. I have really missed being in the blogging flow although I think it was best for me to take a break as I got settled into my new school (!!!). Despite the doom and gloom of the past year, it has been a good time for me to reevaluate the creative decisions I was making with my blog. Lockdown three provided an intense period of self-reflection, and I would consider this blog a part of me, and thus we have made a few changes around here.

In case you are unaware, this blog was formerly known and Kitty Jade (then later Cath Jane Blog). Although we’ve undergone a revamp, where the blog will detach slightly from my name and identity and become a passion project in which my personality will still emerging through my writing, but having a fixed focus and niche.

The ambiguity of my personal blog wasn’t something I was enjoying anymore. While over on my Instagram I was pursuing the idea of environmental blogging and sustainability, the blog went a bit stagnant because I found it hard to articulate the transition away from blogging all about me, to providing more of an advice centred website. Of course, I’m no expert. I’m merely a teenage girl with a passion to educate people on the climate crisis. I want to take you along with the learning I undergo and mistakes I make to provide a relatable and reliable source for you to get eco-friendly lifestyle tips from!

So, let’s have a bit of a reintroduction. What is the Ecolytical, and what does it aim to do?

The Ecolytical is a blog with a mission to make everyone live consciously: of themselves and their world. This blog is for humans that are going to help slow the acceleration of climate change. Our aim is to put you at ease, explain environmental issues and give actionable steps you can take towards a more eco-friendly lifestyle. Small changes make large differences, and here we’re all about those changes on an individual level. Don’t feel discouraged by the sheer scale of it all, join the Ecolytical’s friendly online community for help, advice and virtual tea and biscuits 😉
