Thank you so much to Abi for nominating me to participate in this tag! It’s been a while since I last wrote a book tag, so my book blogging brain is a little rusty. However, I anticipate that this will be a fun post! Hope you stick to the end, as you may even be a nominee…

A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read
Whenever I’m recommended a book by my friend, I tend to read it straight away. Off the top of my head I can’t think of one.
A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t read it
Call me guilty for not reading Animal Farm by George Orwell yet! It’s been on my TBR for years and I want to fully immerse myself in the literature and context behind it. Do you have any useful resources for Animal Farm so that I can study it?

A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten around to finishing
A Court Of Thorns And Roses was a stunning book, but I couldn’t get into the sequel! It just didn’t vibe with me in the same way the first one did. I would love to finish the series one day but at the moment I can’t enjoy it thoroughly so it doesn’t seem worth pulling through a novel if I don’t enjoy it.

A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but have never actually read
Jane Eyre sounds beautiful!
A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read
I was such a big fan of Fangirl, however I’ve not yet picked up Carry On. It sounds fantastic since I loved Simon and Baz’ narrative in the original book. However I don’t have my own copy so it’ll have to wait until libraries are open again.

A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but just haven’t picked up yet
Swallows and Amazons is a beautiful children’s film that I enjoy to this day. Although I haven’t read its book adaptation yet. I’d be interested to know whether it’s similar or completely different from the film!
A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet
The Poet X has been on bookstagram for ages now, and I still haven’t read it. I love Elizabeth Acevedo’s “With The Fire On High” and I anticipate The Poet X will be brilliant too. My library offers on online eBook experience and fortunately it’s available to borrow at the moment! I’ll have to read it soon.

I Nominate:
Marshmallow Harmonies (my favourite bookish gal on the blogosphere, the reason I write book tags today hehe, thank you Rhi!)
That’s all folks!
What book are you going to read next? What are you reading at the moment?
Have a lovely day, and see you on Friday for another post in The Plastic Planet series. Take care,
‘my favourite bookish gal on the blogosphere, the reason I write book tags today hehe, thank you Rhi!’ IM SCREAMING THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES!!!!!! ohmygosh ahhhh i’m not over this!! i’ll definitely try and get to this tag soon!!! xxx

I’d love to see what books are on you TBR, so I can’t wait for your take on this tag. You’re so welcome, Rhi! I genuinely mean it. You were the first book blogger I found and inspired me to add that ‘books’ part to my header hehe. Take care x

Ahhh such a fun looking tag! 📚 I read Animal Farm in primary school and all I can remember is the general outline of it so would love to read again. It’s a shame A Court of Mist and Fury didn’t pull you in, I LOVED those books. I’ve tried to move onto the Throne of Glass series in hope that I’ll like more by the author but I keep getting distracted so I’ll start over and over again with it until I really don’t want to try at all 😂 I enjoyed Fangirl too and am yet to read Carry On. At the moment I’m reading The Hobbit ✨ Thank you so much for the nomination!! I haven’t gotten round to doing tags in a while but I’d find a way with this one as it looks like a lot of fun! Great post 💕

Thank you Elsie, and you’re 100% welcome for the nomination. I’d love to see what books are on your TBR. I have began ACOTAR again, in effort to enjoy the series, and I do love Sarah J Mass’ writing. Awaiting a copy of Carry On from the library, because Simón and Baz truly have my heart! I love them. Ooh The Hobbit is a good one. I read about half of it when I was 8, but I’m not the hugest fan of high fantasy (as you can tell with my ACOMAF problem). Embarrassingly I’ve watched LOTR and The Hobbit without reading the books first… call me guilty! Thank you for reading – your comments genuinely make me day 💕

The entire Swallows And Amazons book series is 100 times better than any of the tv/film adaptions!! Those books were my childhood favs and you should definitely read them!

You see, I never knew it was a series! Thank you for the recommendation. I’ll have to read it over the summer ☺️

Congrats on the tag! Aaaah I’ve not read Animal Farm either. It’s one of those ‘must read before you die’ kind of books so I would like to read it too (one day…😂) xx

There is certainly pressure to read it. However, once you have, everyone will quiz you and say ‘what we’re the morals’ ‘how well do you think Orwell conveyed his political opinions’. That’s why I’d love the chance to study it. Haha, one day we’ll read it! x

This was such a lovely post to read! My Language Arts teacher in Grade 8 told me about Animal Farm and highly recommended that we should read it… but like you, I haven’t gotten around to it! I heard it’s such a great book though ❤
