Marta’s Questions

What are some of your favourite songs to listen to at the moment?

Currently I’m enjoying Fine Line by Harry Styles and a little bit of The Beatles here and there.

If you could shift into an animal, what animal would you want to turn into?

Some sort of bird, definitely. Wouldn’t it be really interesting to fly?

What is one thing you are currently obsessed with?

I love knitting and watching sit-coms! Not the most productive use of time in quarantine but it makes me so happy. I listed in a previous blog post what my favourite TV shows are.

If an unstoppable force collides with an immovable force, what happens?

Would it rebound? I’m not a physics whizz but I’d by interested to hear what happens in this instance. If you have any clue, please let me know in the comments!

What is your favourite book that you read in 2020 so far?

I don’t think there’s a singular book I could pinpoint as my favourite though The Spinster Club series is my favourite read. The first book in that series got me hooked, it’s called “Am I Normal Yet?”

What is the best piece of advice that you’ve received?

Very cliche, but live in the moment. I hold those words in my heart and try to make the most of my time on this Earth.

What is the best gift you’ve ever received?

Does it make me bratty to say that I’m not sure? My cello lessons are an amazing gift and I’m very fortunate that my parents could afford them when I started out.

If you could spend a day with anyone (fictional, alive, or dead), who would you choose and what would you do together?

I’d love to spend some time with the Doctor, she is such cool character and I could travel anywhere and be back in one split-second! The best use of a day in any case.

What is your dream reading space?

There’s no need to dream; I already have mine. My bed is positioned an arm’s length away from my bookshelf so I don’t have to get up when I want to grab a book. A small room comes with advantages.

What are your goals (reading or otherwise) for 2020?

My reading goal is 100 books but i’m a little behind on it! Hopefully, like last year, summer will be my time to get ahead. I set myself some goals in a post at the start of the year. At the moment my goals are to do yoga every day, and I’m on day 29! Try not to throw yourself in at the deep end, just set habits monthly and hopefully they’ll lead to you being a better person than at the start of the year.

I Nominate These Awesome Bloggers:

My Questions

Please answer Marta’s questions! It may seem like I’m just being lazy, but I’d be interested to hear your response to her questions. Don’t forget to let me know if you take part, by either tagging me in the post or commenting below.

What other posts do you want to see from me? Is there a particular type of post you most like to see from me?

  1. I’d defo be a bird too! It sounds pretty cool. But birds are so helpless, you know?
For the physics question, I believe it wouldn’t rebound. I think it’d stay moving against the immovable object and they would remain ‘fighting’ against each other as the net force will be zero. What does the Am I Normal Yet talk about?

    • Yeah, I completely agree!
Thank you for telling me about that physics question. I’ll have to look into it more!
Am I Normal Yet? is centred around a girl with OCD, and her passion for feminism. She faces a relapse in the first term of college and ignores it, saying it’s ‘due to stress’. But also in this time her small trio of friends begins The Spinster Club. It’s a club which discusses feminism and tries to reduce sexism in day-to-day lives. They do some crazy things as the series develops! I’d highly recommend. There’s also a bit of romance (but IT TAKES A TURN) if you like that. Let me know if you give it a read!
      Take care 🙂

  2. Awww thank you so much for the tag, I can’t wait to do it!
Ahaha im so confused by the physics question, I’m def not a physics whiz!
I also try to live by “Live in the moment”, I think its so important to get off electronics and actually live!
Flying sounds SO COOL. If I could have a superpower, thats probably what I would pick! I love how graceful bird are, swooping and gliding thru the air! Well, most of the times their graceful, I have seen some clumsy ones xD

  3. That unstoppable force question is certainly a novel one for a blogger award, don’t think I’ve seen a physics one before! I’d have to agree with you there, I think it would rebound too. Loved reading your answers & thank you for the very kind nomination!  ♥

    • It’s a beautiful song, but equally sad. I’ve not listened to Hozier in a while, but I loved Someone New!
You should definitely go and read ‘Am I Normal Yet’! It’s so amazing, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
Thank you so much, and take care ❤

  6. Thank you so much for the nomination! I hope you’re doing well during this time as well, and spending time knitting and watching sitcoms sounds like a very nice way to spend quarantine.💛I also have been enjoying Harry Style’s Fine Line album, I was actually listening to it earlier today. I think my favorites off the album are Cherry and She, they have such a nice energy, haha. Lovely post!

    • You’re welcome, Olivia! Thank you, it has been quite relaxing though I’m on holiday. Next week school starts again (online of course) but it’s going to be very overwhelming. My favourites are Sunflower Vol. 6 and Canyon Moon I think, but She has great vibes!
Take care, and thank you for such a lovely comment x
