Don’t we all strive to achieve an amazing morning routine? Well, look no further than this post. I used to set myself unrealistic goals for the morning, and fail even before my first day. So many of us have to go to work and school; we don’t have the time to go to the gym and do a study session. Hopefully these tips can set yourself up for a flexible but structured healthy morning. As soon as you start doing these things, there will be an instant improvement in the rest of your day!

Exercise
It’s really important to include some physical activity in your morning routine. Whether that be a few stretches or a full-on workout, anything to get yourself moving will make the rest of the day feel better. I do walk around the house quite a lot in the morning, and I also stretch a bit when I wake up. Most of us don’t have the time to go for a run, but if you do then make the most of it.

Get outside
Humans used to always be exposed to the elements, but we don’t get much of that anymore. A breath of fresh air makes you feel so much better. In fact, go outside now and try it! At the weekend I go for walks but on a regular day I don’t have the time. It’s essential you do get a bit of nature in your daily routine; even better if it’s at the start of your day!

Breakfast
Do not skip breakfast! It’s my favourite meal of the day, and according to scientists the most important meal of the day. I am going to share my go-to breakfasts in a post later this month. You might not be hungry as soon as you wake up, so do a small task beforehand. I know a lot of people skip breakfast because they aren’t up soon enough! Wake up half an hour earlier and you’ll be able to sit down and eat (I wouldn’t recommend having an on-the-go breakfast, it’s uncomfortable and bad for you)

Pamper
None of us have time for a face mask or a bath, but make it you mission to have a wash and dress up nicely. I know a hoodie and leggings is comfy, but it won’t provoke that working mindset. Then at the end of your work you can change! In the UK we have school uniform and it does help to form a divide between school/home. If you work from home, sometimes the line blurrs. Try not to let it!

Do what makes you happy
Just before you head off to work/school, spend a few minutes doing something that makes you smile. It can be a reward for getting all of the other tips done! I like to read while eating my breakfast. You might listen to music while walking to the bus stop. Just a small thing like that can make you feel so much happier! It’s also good for your mental health if you include a bit of ‘me-time’ in your mornings.
Those are all of the tips! Hope you enjoyed reading today’s post, and let me know if you want to see a part two.
I always get up around 5:00-5:30, and I don’t get grumpy or anything. Right after I get up, I just sit down and listen to the radio for about an hour or so.

I wake up at 5:30 so I can do a bit of yoga first thing. I don’t mind going to bed early because all I do at night is watch telly anyway! Hope you’re well

Getting to bed earlier is really something I should be working on. I normally go to bed 12:00-1:00 am.

You know, going to bed late isn’t really an issue. As long as you are consistent and get 8 hours sleep – you’ll be fine! I think a lot of night owls want to be early birds. But we still have the same hours in a day.

I always like to wake up slowly in the mornings. I hate being rushed out of the door…bound to forget something!
And I make a point of giving the cats some morning fuss before I go. Kitty head bumps and belly rubs!

Yes, rushing does not allow time for remembering the important things! So though I could get ready in 15 minutes, I much prefer an hour or so!
Aww cute, I’m sure the kitties appreciate a fuss!

I’d love to actually be the kind of person who wakes up early on a Sunday morning and goes for a walk outside (I’ve been thinking about implementing that habit, but life has been so busy and I’m always tired), but otherwise, eating breakfast is already a miracle! Thanks for sharing these! 😀

Well, every day is an early start for me. No later than 6am! This Sunday I have unfortunately not been able to get out, though yesterday I did. Breakfast is my favourite meal and it’s so important 💓 Hope you get a chance to go for a walk sometime this week!
