For the past two weeks I have re-read the whole Potter series with great enjoyment. No-matter how many times I have read them, the magic just keeps coming back. Though it took me a long while to get through them, I am finally finished! I thought I’d do a bit of a Q&A about which death made me the saddest, my house and other nerdy things.

Whose death were you the most sad about?

A tear comes to my every time I reread Fred’s death scene. I love the twins’ cheeky behaviour and it feels like a half of George has been taken when Fred passes away… 😭

Which house do you belong to?

I recently took a test and was surprised to be a Slytherin. My first house is/was Hufflepuff! The drastic change is a shock 😂

Do you like butterbeer?

About 4 years ago, I went to the Harry Potter studios in London and I did try some of the signature beer. It was not nice at all. Maybe I’d like it these days, but it was just too creamy for me back then!

Favourite characters? (no particular order)

  • Molly Weasley
  • Neville Longbottom
  • Albus Dumbledore

This one was really hard to answer, and they keep changing all the time. I just love Molly Weasley though. Always in my top three!

What is your favourite book?

Order of the Phoenix because it’s one of the darker books and it’s also really long!

Least favourite character?

Rita Skeeter is like the impersonation of newspaper The Sun 😂

Do you consider yourself a Potterhead?

I’ll only remember trivia for up to 3 weeks of finishing The Deathly Hallows! So no, I don’t, though I do still love Harry Potter a lot (I’m currently wearing a HP t-shirt).

Favourite magical creature?

I love Crookshanks though she isn’t unique to the wizarding world (we have cats in the Muggle realm too). Nifflers are incredibly cute though they are not much talked about! Thestrals are also beautiful creatures…

How fast did you read the longest book?

The Order of the Phoenix has the most pages out of all seven books. In 3 days, I read 800 pages. For me, that’s not fast at all!

Have you watched the films?

Yes, many times. They are no way as good as the books but I still enjoy them!

  1. I love the questions! I’m definitely the most sad about Fred’s aswell, it’s just heartbreaking especially for George! It’s very interesting to see that your favourite book is The Order of The Phoenix because a lot of people don’t like it but I love it! The training in the room if requirement, Umbridge (I can’t STAND that woman 😂), and especially the fight at the end although Sirius dies, which is also heartbreaking. x

    • Thank you 😊 I thought the Order of The Phoenix was quite popular! I can’t stand Umbridge either, such a snake. I wouldn’t be surprised is she was Uncle Vernon’s sister 😂

      • A lot of people I know don’t like Order of The Phoenix but I personally love it! That should definitely be a theory!!😂 My Favourite character is Hermione. I’ve always connected with her and I feel like she’s just so strong! She proved that you don’t need a pure blood family to be an amazing witch or wizard and Harry and Ron would’ve died in the first book without her 😂 x

  7. Fred’s death absolutely destroyed me. I haven’t been able to reread the last book SOLELY because of his death. I remember staring at the page when I read DH for the first time and just REFUSING to believe that Fred actually died. after Fred, I really didn’t want Sirius to die because he was literally the ONLY family harry had left? man.
    my fave book might be Prisoner of Azkaban and Umbridge and Rita are DEFINITELY two of the most hated characters in literary fiction lol

    • It affects people so much. I know that it sounds heartless, but I didn’t really care that Sirius died. Harry failed to admit that Ron (along with the Weasleys) and Hermione were his true family.
      My brother loves Prisoner of Azkaban a lot. It’s one of my faves too but I much prefer the ‘darker’ books.
