It should come as no surprise that I went to Liverpool… again 😂 Today I’ll be recording 26-27th April in a little travel diary for you! I took a lot more photos than I usually do, so you’re in for a treat.
As soon as we (we meaning my dad, mum and brother) arrived, we were soon to get to the Mersey Ferries office. We booked a trip that included a visit to Spaceport, the U-Boat story and a commentated ferry around the River Mersey. This excursion took up most of the day’s hours, but it was so worth it! I loved every bit of it, and I managed to read all the information on the signs (usually that doesn’t happen 😂) .
We first went across the river to Spaceport.
We went to this place in particular for the Star Wars exhibition. However, the main part interested me the most. We watched this film in a dome cinema, all about how scientists discover life on other planets. It was really mesmerising, with the dome shaped screen, but the facts also absorbed me. Sorry for the quality of this next photo, but I wanted to capture the moment for you 😉
After having a really good time at the ‘spaceport’ centre, we hastily made our way back over the river to the café. I had breakfast at 5:30 and it was now 14:00. Food was needed 😂
My Bitmojji is sailing…
Then we went to the U-Boat story. I found this very interesting and learnt so much! I would really recommend going.
We had no plans for the rest of the day, so we went to have a quick look at the Tate art gallery. I have been many times before but, like any gallery, the exhibitions change monthly.

I found this in the gift shop. I didn’t buy it, but it was worth keeping on my phone!
Then I made my way to the most expensive sweet shop on the planet: £1.49 for 100g? 😱 So I was no where near filling the bag. Still, I really enjoyed my lemon bon-bons.
Somewhere in my jam-packed day, I found enough time to buy some shampoo from LUSH. I knew exactly what I was going in for, though I wanted to stay and browse for a lot longer. It was expensive, but that’s the price you’ve got to pay to save the planet. I prefer non-plastic packaged items!
After that it was eat, sleep, read (I did it all simultanously)
27th April
My mum, brother and I were left browsing in Liverpool One for most of the morning. It was raining outside so we didn’t know what else to do! I picked up a few clothes from H&M for my trip to France and Menorca. They are really beautiful and summery!
The main plan for the day was to go to the cat café. I have never been to one before, and my first experience was great. All the drinks were free, though you had to pay for food separately. We just had some drinks. They charged you on the amount of time you were there: £1 every five minutes. That of course meant we couldn’t stay too long!
I don’t think I had ever seen so many cats in one place! It was heaven, especially for a cat person.
You could interact with the cats: there were lots of toys to play with! It was a very special place, and all the cats were friendly.
The last photo has got to be the best ever! She was poking her head through the back of the chair and it was so cute 😍
That’s it for my visit to Liverpool. I really enjoyed it this time, despite the rain which soaked me as I walked to and fro!
Have you ever been to a cat cafe? What was your experience? I would love to hear in the comments below!
I really love this post! You actually have cat café? Seriously? That’s awesome! I’d love to be in one. Just don’t like paying a dollar for 5 mins 😂😂
