This post has been produced for you by fellow blogger Nour Lee. We have been working in collaboration with each other, on the topic of poems. I have written a post for her blog also, it would be appreciated if you checked that out: and whilst your their, go and follow! This poem really stood out to me, I love it to bits. Ironically, the topic is love also.
Don’t be that way.
I hate the way you think
So realistically
Live a fairy dream
I hate
The way you look
The way you feel
The way you see
I hate those small little details
That I could see, as clear as the day
I hate your impossible dreams and Hopes
I hate your eternal droop
Of eyes
I hate your curve
Your hair
Your nose
I hate all the shame that arose
Just from gazing at you in the mirror
But from a far corner…,
Please be that way.
I love the way you think
So uniquely
I love how you smell
How you look
How you feel
How you can see what’s fake and what’s real
I hate those small little details
That I could see as clear as the day
In the nighttime
I want to see them, display them, proudly
I love your high dreams and Hopes
I love your eternal droop
Of eyes from the hours of staring
At the night sky
Stars tinkling in your iris
A wishful wonder in your mind, many desires
I love your curve
Your silky midnight hair
Your crooked nose
That twitches whenever you think
Those brilliant ideas of yours
I love all the pride that arose
Just from gazing at you, my rose.
