‘When I Grow Up…’

My nine-year-old self is reawakening as I talk about dream jobs. Throughout most of my life, up until I was 10, I was fixed on the idea of being an author. However, through starting my blog, I had insecurities about whether what I write is good enough to be published. But I was 10. So if you are not getting it, I have a long way to go with my writing.

But even now I’m not that sure if that could be my career. Free-lancing and choosing my own hours seems a bit of a burden when I have the writing to concentrate on. Editing and publishing would be good I suppose, it encourages my adoration for writing whilst also not having to choose my own hours/work from home/create my own wages.

The reason I come to talk about this is that in school yesterday we were talking about what jobs we want to have… and I was stuck.

But it’s not early for me to start deciding now.

‘What I want to be when I grow up’.

Actually, I’m more likely to be late.

  1. I think it’s okay to not know what you want to do with your life because sometimes you find it in the randomest ways. I was sure I wanted to be a writer but I have a totally new dream now!

  2. Glad to find someone at my side of the rope! I’ve been changing my dream job every year, writer has always been up there but now I’m with my top three situation 😂
